Buckwheat or most commonly known as kuttu in India is not a cereal but a fruit seed from plant green like rhubarb and sorrel. Recipe:

50 Gram Kutti (Buckwheat)

100 ML Buttermilk

1 Tea_Sp Green Chilli Paste

20 Gram Dudhi/Lauki (Bottle Gourd)

3 Piece Kadi Patta (Curry Leaves)

1 Tea_Sp Jeera (Cumin)

1/2 Tea_Sp Oil

*Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash and soak kutti (Buck wheat) for 1/2 hour.
  2. In pressure cooker heat oil.
  3. Add Jeera, curry leaves, chilli paste, add pieces of Bottle Gourd
  4. Add soaked Kutti (Buckwheat) and buttermilk some more water along with salt.
  5. Pressure cook it.
  6. Serve hot.
