Ragi, Nachani or finger millet is the magic millet which is very famous for its various health benefits and nutritional values, must be added to your weight loss diet plan.

Ragi is generally considered to be less tasty amongst other cereals and millets but inclusion of Nachani roti in your weight loss diet plan will prove you wrong.

Nachni and Onion Roti Recipe (Serves 6)

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Nachni Flour (Ragi)
  • 1/4 Cup Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Table Spoon Coriander finely chopped
  • 1 Tea Spoon Green Chillies finely chopped
    *Add to taste: Salt and Pepper
    *Flour for rolling

Recipe:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead into a soft dough using enough lukewarm water.
  2. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll out each portion into a circle of 100 mm. (4″) diameter, using a little red millet flour for rolling. Prick at even distance with help of a fork.
  3. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook each roti, till it turns golden brown in colour from both sides.
  4. Serve immediately.
