Healthy Living Tips, Habits, Facts and Activities

Following are some of the useful healthy living tips, habits and activities to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle. Follow these healthy living tips, habits and activities daily and you will stay fit and healthy forever.

1. Eat Your Breakfast:
A Healthy Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you end up skipping breakfast then you will get hungry long before lunch and will start snacking on foods that are high in fat and sugar, but low in vitamins. And we all know that sugar and fatty snacks are never a good option.

2. Healthy Snacking:
Instead of opening a packet of potato chips, salted nuts, candies, cookies and other junk that is high in sugar, salt and fat, we recommend you to munch on raw nuts, fresh fruits or berries which hold essential vitamins and minerals.

3. Eat Fruits and Veggies:
You must have already heard this enough and we can’t emphasize it any more for you. Fruits and vegetables are a powerhouse of nutrition and are nature’s direct source of essential vitamins and minerals. Make sure to include more of them in your diet for all meals.

4. Stretching:
Instead of waking up late in the morning, we suggest you use your mornings to stretch your back, legs and neck. It will help your body wake up and make you feel refreshed because stretching in the morning increases the blood flow to our muscles providing an extra shot of oxygen, preparing us for a new day.

5. Cook your own Food:

If you don’t know to cook, you can learn cooking. Cooking your own food gives you control  over what goes into your food, so you can choose healthy ingredients in your food.

6. Don’t Eat Too Much or Oily Food before going to Sleep:

If you eat too much or oily food stuff at dinner, you will get heart burns when you sleep at night. It is painful to sleep if you get heart burns, so please avoid eating too much or oily food to have a sound sleep.

7. Drink 2-3 liters of Water Everyday:

Drinking 2-3 liters of water everyday contributes to a healthy living as it relieves fatigue, improves mood, treats headaches and migraines, helps in digestion and constipation, helps in weight loss and flushes out toxins.

10. Stay Stress Free:

Stress is the body’s reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. The body reacts to these changes with physical, mental, and emotional responses. Stress becomes negative when a person faces continuous challenges without relief or relaxation between challenges.

As a result, the person becomes overworked and stress-related tension builds. Stress that continues without relief can lead to a condition called distress — a negative stress reaction. Distress can lead to physical symptoms including headaches, upset stomach, elevated blood pressure, chest pain, and problems sleeping.

So, we recommend you to tackle stress with positive thinking and patience to save yourself from a lot of health issues.

Having unprotected sex can lead to STD’s (Sexually Transmitted Diseases). Also, having sex with multiple partners can lead to HIV, gonorrhea, syphilis and herpes which leads you to an un-healthy way of living.

12. Stay away from risky habits:

Avoid alcohol, talking on cell-phone and speeding while driving. Do not ride a bike without wearing a helmet. Stunting on a bike can put your life in danger. Avoid driving in a bad weather. These are very risky and bad habits and can affect your healthy living lifestyle.

So make sure to get a good night’s sleep for eight hours minimum and put away your phones and laptops for better quality of sleep.

14. Quit Smoking:

15. Cut Down on Alcohol:
While it’s acceptable to indulge in alcohol occasionally, daily consumption of alcohol can cause some major health issues including liver cirrhosis. So do enjoy your glass but make sure you don’t spill it all over your health.

16. Save yourself from inhaling polluted air

Air pollution is a significant risk factor for a number of health conditions including respiratory infections, heart disease, COPD, stroke and lung cancer. The health effects caused by air pollution may include difficulty in breathing, wheezing, coughing, asthma and worsening of existing respiratory and cardiac conditions. These effects can result in increased medication use, increased doctor or emergency room visits, more hospital admissions and premature death. We recommend you to always close your nose and mouth with your hand or handkerchief if you happen to pass-by an environment which contains air contaminants and thus contribute to a healthy living lifestyle.
