We commonly hear these things like we should avoid Breads, Wheat , Non veg, Milk and milk products, Oil etc while on a diet plan for weight loss. The fact is, the quality of the foods and the quantity is something that matters a lot.

Including a whole wheat bread, multi grain bread once or twice a week is normal. Non veg is definitely good, if one is on diet plan for weight loss but has to avoid red meats, can have lean chicken, fish, eggs in restricted quantity.

Chicken sandwich is a high fibre, high protein recipe. It also includes good amount of greens which improves the antioxidants in the sandwich. It can be include in the dinner along with a bowl of salad or a bowl of soup while on a diet plan for weight loss. Its considered to be balanced meal as it provides different nutrients in required quantities. Different vegetables can be added to the sandwich to add variations to it.

Chicken Sandwich (Serves 2)


  • 3/4 Cup Chicken chopped
  • 1 Piece Celery chopped
  • 1 Piece Spring Onion chopped
  • 2 Medium Lettuce Leaf
  • 1 Tea Spoon Rai Sauce (Mustard)
  • 1/4 Tea Spoon Pepper Powder
  • 4 Slices of Whole Wheat Bread


  1. Mix all ingredients together in small bowl.
  2. Toast the bread and add all the ingredients in it.
