Weight Loss Diet With Cauliflower Paratha Recipe

Potato/ Aloo is one vegetable which is liked by every one- right from the child to the grandfather. But in a diet for weight loss potato is a strict NO, NO.

So majority of people who are diet for weight loss crave mostly for it or the food items like aloo wada, aloo paratha, aloo ki subzi etc.

In order to curb the craving for aloo paratha we suggest you a very common and interesting substitute i.e gobi (cauliflower) paratha which can be easily included in your diet for weight loss.

Cauliflower Paratha Recipe (Serves 4)

Ingredients:*For the Dough:

  • 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • Add to taste: Salt, Pepper

*For Stuffing

  • 1 1/2 Cup Cauliflower grated
  • 2 Table Spoon Coriander chopped finely
  • 1 Tea Spoon Green Chillies finely chopped
  • 1/2 Tea Spoon Ginger grated
  • 1/4 Tea Spoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tea Spoon Pomegranate Powder
  • Add to taste: Salt, Pepper

*Flour for rolling

  • 2 Tea Spoon Oil for greasing and cooking

*For the Dough:

  • 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • Add to taste: Salt, Pepper

Recipe:

1. Combine the wheat flour and salt in a deep bowl and knead into soft dough using enough water.
2. Divide the dough into equal portions and keep aside.
3. Divide the stuffing into equal portions and keep aside.
4. Roll a portion of the dough into a 125 mm. (5″) diameter circle using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.
5. Place one portion of the stuffing evenly all over the roti and cover with another roti.
6. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it lightly using a little oil.
7. Cook the paratha, using a little oil, till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides.
8. Repeat steps 4 to 7 to make 3 more parathas.
9. Serve hot.
