Salads are the most important part of any diet plan for weight loss , To incorporate a variety of salads in a diet plan for weight loss is always challenging as  salads normally consists of few common vegetables like cucumber, tomato, onions ,cabbage etc. Thus to make it appealing and tasty is always a task

In order to break this monotony, we suggest you a salad which isn’t only different but is also healthy. Cabbage slaw salad is refrigerated salad which means it is ideally supposed to be had cold and this is what makes it similar to coleslaw salad that uses high fat mayonnaise and makes it imperfect for Diet plan for Weight loss.

In this salad we have used curd instead of mayonnaise which makes it high in protein along with high fibre and low in calories, thus makes it perfect to be included in diet plan for weight loss,


Cabbage Slaw (Serves 2)


  • 450 Grams Cabbage chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Vinegar
  • 1 Cup Low Fat Dahi (Curd)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Sugar
  • *Salt, Chilli-flakes, Oregana


  • Cut the Cabbage into long strips
  • Beat the yoghurt and add other ingredients and beat well.
  • Add Cabbage shreds into it and keep it in the refrigerator.
  • Serve chilled
