A Crunchy Salad to be included in the Diet Plan for Weight Loss
A diet plan for weight loss is almost incomplete without including fibers. The good source of fibers are fruits, vegetables, pulses, certain millets, cereals etc. The best way of including fibers is to have more and more of salad in the diet plan for weight loss. With time, including the normal salad can also bring a monotony in the diet. Making variations in the selection of vegetables or may be a combinations of pulses and vegetables can make the diet plan for weight loss interesting.
Below mentioned is salad recipe which includes all not so very commonly used vegetables. Addition of sprouts, Capsicums further ,makes it crunchy.
A bowl full of this salad can make you full, and also provide a good amount of nutrition, making your diet plan for weight loss rich in fibers, and other nutrients.
Serving
- 2 Salad Bowl
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Spring Onion
- 1/2 Cup Mushroom
- 1/2 Cup Baby Corn blanched & cubed
- 3/4 Cup Mixed Sprouts
- 1/2 Cup Capsicum (Bell Pepper) red and green
- 1/2 Cup Cucumber cubes
* For Dressing
- 1/4 Tea_Sp Olive Oil
- 3 Medium Garlic Clove
- 1 Table_Sp Basil Leaves chopped
- 2 Tea_Sp Lemon Juice
- 1 Tea_Sp Sugar

Method:
For the dressing:
- Heat the oil in a non-stick pan, add the garlic and saute till it turns brown lightly.
- Add the basil leaves and mix well.
- Cool completely.
- Add the lemon juice, sugar, salt and pepper and mix well.
How to proceed:
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and toss lightly.
- Refrigerate.
- Just before serving, add the dressing to the salad and toss well.
- Serve immediately.
