Dudhi being rich in Fibre, Vitamins like A, C and Minerals like Calcium, Magnesium and Phosphorous is must to be included in diet for weight loss. It helps in healthy digestion combating flatulence and constipation, a common problem that generally occurs for the people on diet for weight loss.
Dudhi and other vegetables can be very easily in your diet for weight loss in the form of variety of soups , vegetable juices and fancy salads.
- 3 Soup Bowls

- 1 Cup Dudhi/Lauki (Bottle Gourd) cubes
- 1 Cup Carrot cubes
- 1 Cup Onion chopped
- 1 Cup Tomato cubes
- 2 Tea Sp Green Chillies finely chopped
Add to taste:
- Salt and Pepper

- Combine the vegetables in a pressure cooker along with 3 cups water, mix well and pressure for 4 to 5 whistles.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Cool and blend in a mixer till smooth.
- Transfer in a deep pan, add the salt and pepper, mix well and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot.
